Hello there! It's been a while since we had anything to post about the Commandos game(s) but now we have something very cool.

C5 STUDIOS have released an expansion pack for Commandos Behind Enemy Lines. Their pack includes the following:

• Accessibly buildings - but be careful, the enemy can enter them too
• Civilians - some of them are loyal to the Nazi regime, some are not
• Beautiful graphics - from Commandos 1, 2 and 3
• Increasing difficulty level - from moderate to
• Real Commandos feeling, back to the roots!
• More missions will come soon...

In august 2009 rumours emerged that Pyro Studios would start working on a new Commandos 2 styled game as soon as the development of their latest game, Planet 51, would complete. This rumour, which source lies at Gamer.nl, was based on a comment made by an employee at Pyro Studios. The rumour was picked up by many game news websites and many people commented positively. Pyro Studios was quick to deny the rumour though and said they did not intend to develop a new commandos game in the near future.

Recent updates by two Pyro Studios employees of their LinkedIn profile now seem to prove otherwise. On the 10th of April Marcos Domenech posted on his profile that he worked as a senior-lead environment artist on "C4". Could basicly be anything of course, but two days later José Ramón Díaz Martín took away all doubts by posting that he worked as a Game Designer on Commandos 4.

Now let's just hope we'll be playing with at least the original dirty half-dozen again and it comes packed with a full map editor. Ahh, the memories!

According to a post on the Eidos forums, it appears that there is a mobile version of Commandos in the works. The game is set to release on July 25.

Not much else is known about, although there are some screens over here:
