TAF - Out of the 12 missions how many missions have derived their inspiration from movies or true stories? Can you list them?

G. Suarez - Quite a few directly and all of them indirectly. Some examples are missions based on films such as Saving Private Ryan, The Guns of Navarone, The Bridge over the River Kwai, Paris Burns, Das Boot, etc…

TAF - I am asking you this question, because some Commandos fan, who is deaf, wanted an answer.
His problem is that he cannot hear what the commandos say, or more importantly the briefings, because of his disability. He has asked whether C2 has an option of separate captions so that he can read the briefings. If not will you try & come up with a patch or something?

G. Suarez - We are aware of this need and are trying to find a solution, unfortunately it doesn't depend just on us, but on Eidos as well, they have a lot to say in the matter.

TAF - I have heard that the indoor game engine is different from the outer map engine, is it true? If yes then will it create glitches in the transition from outdoors to indoors and vice versa?

G. Suarez - In Commandos 2 we have chosen to give personality to indoor scenes and to the game in them, no to simply limit ourselves to the use of transparencies and other formulas that would have impeded the depth of indoor scenes that we wanted. We have gone to great pains to create a single playing environment and to achieve a complete integration of the indoor and outdoor scenes.

TAF - Will commandos work on Windows 2000?

G. Suarez - Commandos II will work on Windows 2000.

TAF - What is the underwater feature in Commandos II?

G. Suarez - All the commandos will be able to dive although the distances will depend on each commando. The diver will also be able to use their diving gear to spend long periods under the water, and can count on the use of specific items such as the harpoon. The gameplay under the water will be quite important in some scenarios. These underwater scenarios will be rendered in a similar way to the indoor scenes.

TAF - Can you give us examples of Animal-Commando interaction in C2 ? Can you list the new animals which have been added to C2?

G. Suarez - The animals will have different uses and we prefer to let the player discover them themselves. What will the sharks, the elephants or the dog be able to do in Commandos 2? I bet a lot of players can already imagine it.

TAF - Some, questions about the Demo, I know I should ask Eidos this question, but do you know when it will be released?

G. Suarez - It seems unlikely that a demo will be launched before the actual game, and probably this won't happen even after the launching.

TAF - What is the size of the C2 Demo?

G. Suarez - Not defined yet.
